Elahe Habibi
Elaheh Habibi is an Iranian visual anthropologist and children’s book author based in Berlin, currently completing her PhD at Pantheon-Sorbonne University in Paris. She studied at the University of Tehran and the University of Manchester. For over ten years, she has conducted ethnographic research on Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz. Her award-winning documentary About Love on a Small Island received Best Student Film at the American Anthropological Association in 2019. She is a member of Berlin Picturebook.
Ahmad Moradi
Ahmad is a senior research fellow at the Leibniz-Zentrum Moderner Orient in Berlin. He holds a PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of Manchester with long term research experience in coastal city of Bandar Abbas in the Persian gulf. Together with Elaheh Habibi, they founded the South Ethnographic Atelier (SEA) which collaborates with artists and other practitioners on visual projects including film, children’s books, and design.

Zohreh Moradi
Zohereh Moradi is an assistant professor of handicrafts and traditional arts at the University of Hormozgan and an advocate and ambassador for autism awareness. She recently defended her PhD in art studies examining the localized practices of autism art therapy in the southern region of Iran.
